Replace the factory plastic fuel filter housing (often called the fuel filter cap) on your 2017–2026 GM 6.6L L5P Duramax with a stronger, cleaner, and more reliable billet aluminum upgrade from H&S Motorsports.

The factory L5P Duramax fuel filter housing is made from plastic, which can become a weak point during filter service or long-term use. After seeing failures with the OEM-style housing, we engineered a direct-replacement billet aluminum version designed to improve durability without complicating installation.

Fits 2017–2026 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD/3500HD and GMC Sierra 2500HD/3500HD trucks equipped with the 6.6L L5P Duramax. Direct replacement — works on both short bed and long bed configurations.

This billet housing replaces the plastic lower cap/shell on the factory frame-mounted fuel filter assemblies:

2017–2019 trucks — factory assembly sold as ACDelco TP1014 (GM part numbers 84932999, 23149526)

2020–2026 trucks — factory assembly sold as ACDelco TP1023 (GM part numbers 84996837, 84711317, 13543066)

Works with the standard ACDelco TP1015 replacement fuel filter — no special filters required.

Installation Notes

This billet fuel filter housing is designed as a direct replacement and can typically be installed in just a few minutes during normal fuel filter service.

Fuel drain plug o-rings are reusable and do not need to be replaced each time the drain plug is removed. Only replace when necessary. O-ring size is .25" I.D. x .065" thick.
